My Plans For This Blog Site
This blog will most likely become my only venue for posting things straight up, without any planning or “professionalism”. And for the foreseeable future, the blog will have a variety of content that will hopefully be both useful and, on the other hand, a log of promises to keep myself accountable.
I've recently deployed this WriteFreely app, which is quite useful in some ways, but less dynamic than the previous Ghost-based blog. I wanted something that didn't seem too “professional”; I wanted it to feel old, nostalgic, and friendly.
That's why the switch happened.
Lost a couple of ideas I've had in the draft and a hit-piece on one of the people I've worked with and scammed me, but I'll leave those aside as I think their destruction will come by their hands.
This blog will now become an outpost of my thoughts, and I'm doing this for two reasons:
- first, I'm a PhD student, and my GPT-rotten brain needs to acclimate to writing again (see, I know some words, I can sound cool as well)
- Second, I want to keep a log of my journey for people who might find it useful, and to keep myself accountable for any promises I make.
And that's why the posts from today onwards will be more consistent and structured.
I'm not lazy, but I procrastinate a lot, so this might also be a promise that I can't keep, but the following are the topics this outpost of ideas of mine will discuss:
First, the usual;
- Freelancing experiences, guides, tips, and tricks ... etc
- Software engineering
- News, technology, and others
Second, the new;
- Financial journey and planning
- My PhD journey
- Project logs and progress.
With these new additions, I'm hoping to achieve three things:
- Get more eyes on my services, as a freelancer, it's obvious. Even though I'm working full-time, I have some time left for freelancing. Recently, it's not been much because of PhD work, but still.
- Getting more eyes on my projects, as I'm planning some interesting ones.
- Accountability; with me being a professional procrastinator at this point, I need all the motivation I can get, and that comes in the form of accountability and consequences.
This has been it for this post, will start posting consistently from today onwards, hopefully.
Thanks for reading.
